About UsBrian Hazelton, born in Farmington, CT first moved to the Berkshires in 1986. He started his building career as a mason tender working during the summers of high school and college. After he graduated from college, he moved to Brattleboro VT, where he started a small masonry company(B. Hazelton Masonry) and worked part time as a carpenter's apprentice. A short time later, he had the opportunity to be a part of a company (Crossroads Construction) that had skilled professionals of multiple trades. Here he lead the crew for masonry projects and at the same time learned skills for stucco, tile work, and carpentry. After a few years in Vermont, Brian moved to northwestern Connecticut where he was employed by a general contractor (Lakeland Builders) to start and supervise a masonry department for his company, as well as, to be a carpenter on his crew. Within three years Brian had become a lead carpenter and foreman for this company, helping with the estimating, design, and organization of carpentry and masonry projects. Brian then moved back to the Berkshires and was hired by the Small Building Company where he continued his role as a lead carpenter and foreman. Here he was able to use these acquired skills to successfully finish multiple projects, including two new homes, a few bathrooms, and many fine carpentry and masonry projects. After almost five years, Brian decided to part ways with the SBC, hoping to take all that he has learned and apply it to B3 Building Company. |
